A collaborative innovation programme developed with the Mayor of London, connecting tech startups with Londoners and public sector partners to address the city’s urgent social and infrastructure challenges.
Delivered in partnership with the Mayor of London, the Civic Innovation Challenge was designed to bring together tech startups, strategic partners, and London communities to co-create solutions to some of the capital’s most complex civic challenges.
The programme focused on three key themes:
Countering violent extremism online
Addressing London’s housing needs
Improving the movement of goods and services to reduce congestion and pollution
We sought up to 40 ventures with innovative, scalable ideas, inviting them to work directly with end users and public sector Challenge Partners including the Metropolitan Police Service, the Greater London Authority, and Transport for London.
The Civic Innovation Challenge showcased how public-private collaboration can unlock innovation for safer, more inclusive, and better-connected cities, ensuring that London’s most pressing challenges are met with community-driven, tech-enabled solutions.
